Our CEO, pitching StanLab - A 3D Virtual Science Lab, at World Bank Youth Summit 2016

It was a very windy and slightly cold morning on Tuesday, 15th of November 2016 in Washington DC when our team sets out to pitch our innovative project - StanLab, a 3D virtual reality laboratory that addresses the problem of lack of physical laboratories to aid the teaching of science in Nigerian public secondary schools athe 2016 World Bank Youth Summit with the theme "Re-Thinking Education For The New Millenium".

Travelling the distance of about 10,642 Km was a delight for both Job Oyebisi and Tobi Oyedokun, who were representing team StanLab of Photz Tech was exciting . Selected as one of the six finalists from over 900 applications, our team was prepared to deliver its best performance to the audience at the Preston auditorium, World Bank Headquarters in DC.

When it was time, it was a sizzling, enlightening and thought-provoking pitch that was given by our team lead and CEO, Job Oyebisi to which the audience responded by voting our idea massively to be the Audience Choice Award.

We are very appreciative of the World Bank Youth Summit organizing committee headed by Louise Baldwin and the efforts of Diane Davoine, Morah Farad, Fernando Castro, Alejandra Bustamente and others who made the event for us a very fulfilling one.

The participants of the 2016 World Bank Youth Summit were themselves some of the best young minds in the world with innovative ideas to global challenges ranging from education, to water, to agriculture and even climate change.

Special shout outs to our special friends Yvonne Okafor and Jeff Megayo who made our time in DC very fun.

At the 2016 World Bank Youth Summit  we came, were vigorously impacted and inspired to cause change, won an award for our projects, connected with other young social entrepreneurs, made new friends, saw the beauty of DC; veni, vedi, veci.
