Winning The Second Runner-Up Prize At The PEBEC Hackathon.

The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) in its bid to catalyze innovations that would facilitate a better business environment in Nigeria came up with the idea for an hackathon that would bring young people to develop solutions to address the roadblocks to ease of doing business in Nigeria. The hackathon held on 25th and 26th of June, 2017 at the Andela Office in Lagos.

The first #PEBECHack  focused on developing a tool that will promote accountability and transparency among key Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) crucial to the success of Nigeria’s Ease of Doing Business reforms.
The competing teams were tasked develop a service management solution that will allow citizens monitor, provide feedback, report, make complaints, and ‘blow-a-whistle’ about the quality of service received from key Federal Government Doing Business MDAs or at strategic locations such as airports, seaports and land borders.
Our team was well represented with the idea for a chatbot service that would allow citizens and foreigners travelling through the airports to provide feedback, make complaints, "blow a whistle" or commend the efforts of the Immigration Service, Customs and othe MDAS who works at the airport.

Our solution was called ServiTrack and it was developed within the two days of the hackathon.

It was a very intense competition with about 15 teams competing for a 1 Million Naira prize. The Judges found our idea to be novel and awarded us the Second Runner-Up prize
